A Tower in Korea

Throughout the past half century, two representational thoughts lend themselves in defining this project. The Robert Venturi creation of an image, and the Peter Eisenman axonometric diagram.

While the elevations of Venturi operate as a set of images with conflated symbolism on a flattened plane, Peter Eisenman represents through an indexical process. His axonometric diagrams author a specific vantage into the formal evolution of any given project.

This tower positions the unfolded drawing as a mixture of the two. An indexical flatness. It portrays a specificity in the process of folding while operating as a flattened image. This flattened image is compositional, and is the source of production in transforming imagery into shape.
